Amaryllis 'Sweet Star'

Amaryllis 'Sweet Star'

Most hippeastrums are instantly recognisable for their flowers in strong, bold colours. But there is increasing interest now in the subtler forms, and this is where Hippeastrum 'Sweet Star' will come into its own. Its blooms are of a beautiful soft baby pink, with cream-white accents and deep, yellow-green centres. Every Amaryllis 'Sweet Star' bulb produces two stems at the same time, and often there will be a third, with plenty of gorgeous flowers.

Amaryllis 'Sweet Star' is one of the Galaxy Group hippeastrums, meaning that the flowers are single, rather than double, with a diameter greater than 16cm. It points to this being a first-class larger form, for the home, conservatory or greenhouse.

And remember, Amaryllis 'Sweet Star' can be made to flower at any time during winter, spring or early summer. Just keep the bulbs cool and dry, until you want to plant them. They should flower around 10 weeks after planting, depending on conditions.
