A beautiful compact Japanese anemone for the garden border. At first, the flowers of Anemone 'Prinz Heinrich' are a rich, deep pinkish purple, but as they age the colour lightens. This is a semi-double type, and the petals are interesting in that they are variable in length, and often quilled or twisted. This gives the flowers an informal look that goes particularly well in more naturalistic borders or gardens. The flowers are carried elegantly on slender stems, above a clump of handsome vine-shaped leaves!
The flowers on the fully hardy Anemone Ć hybrida 'Prinz Heinrich' will attract bees and other pollinating insects, and the plant itself appears to be rabbit-resistant.
