Dahlia 'Wishes n Dreams'

Dahlia 'Wishes n Dreams'

Dahlia 'Wishes n Dreams' is a beautiful dwarf bedding dahlia. There are so many Dahlia varieties to choose from, but this one is a real charmer. Its flowers are around 8cm across, and are rose-pink, fading to pale pink, with deep red at their centres. These colours combine beautifully with the plant’s near-black foliage. Grow it in a patio container, or at the front of a mixed herbaceous border where it will become a show-stopper!

Dahlia 'Wishes n Dreams' performs best in full sun and in fertile, well-drained soil. To prolong flowering, deadhead it regularly, and give it a monthly feed, from May to September, with a potash-rich fertiliser. Lift the tubers after the first frosts, and store them in a cool, dry situation until March. Then pot them up and keep them frost-free, before planting out again in late May. Dahlia 'Wishes n Dreams' is a wonderful little dahlia and, of course, the single flowers are a real draw for pollinating insects.
