The intense colouring of Monarda 'Prärienacht' is indeed one which could be reminiscent of a prairie at dusk, and this is exactly the kind of planting scheme it’s meant for. Mingle with ornamental grasses and summer flowering perennials like Helenium and Gaura and you will complete the look. This bergamot plant is also known as Monarda didyma 'Purple Prairie Night'.
