A daffodil with the wind in its sails! Narcissus 'Sailboat' has that air of optimism with its energetically swept back petals, as if caught in a spring breeze. In fact, these Jonquil daffodils are like an entire flotilla of sailboats, creating a floriferous crowd thanks to their multiple blooms on every stem. Each one of these delightful little flowers has a gorgeous scent, as well as lovely soft colours, with an ivory-white perianth and a pale yellow cup. A recipient of a prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), Narcissus 'Sailboat' has won the daffodil regatta!  

Make the most of this characterful daffodil by planting Narcissus 'Sailboat' in large groups or drifts. Flowering in mid spring, it looks delightful mixed with grape hyacinths (Muscari armeniacum).  To fully enjoy their lovely scent, why not plant up several pots of these bulbs by a doorway, or place them on your patio table within sniffing distance. Growing to about 30cm tall, Narcissus 'Sailboat' will look just right, and there’s a strong chance they will infect you with their breezy optimism!
