Papaver 'Pink Perfection'
We are so pleased to be able to offer this oriental poppy, Papaver 'Pink Perfection'. In early summer, its flowers will light up the garden, with multi-layers of stunning mid-pink, tissue paper-like petals. The edges of its petals are heavily frilled, while the centres of the blooms are a deep reddish black. From the moment the softly hair-covered leaves unfurl in spring, until they fade away in autumn, they are a lovely bright, fresh green.
Poppy 'Pink Perfection' is a stocky plant, growing in its first year to just 50cm or so. Then, as the plant matures, each summer it will grow closer to 80cm. Sometimes, on a good and fertile soil, that has not been allowed to dry out in summer, flowers appear again in September-October.
Dramatic Papaver orientale 'Censationā¢ Pink Perfection' will be a real eye-catcher wherever it is planted, in beds, borders or patio containers. Although it will tolerate a degree of shade during the day, a spot in full sun is best. Bees and other pollinating insects will love it, too.
