If you think you know montbretia, Crocosmia 'Pink Wonder' will quite happily prove you wrong. In place of the usual fiery reds and oranges, this pink montbretia unfurls elegant sprays of luminous rose-pink blooms, each with a warm orange eye that glows in evening light. Arching stems rise gracefully above fresh, sword-like foliage, giving Crocosmia 'Pink Wonder' a light, airy presence that never feels heavy in the border. It’s superb for softening the edge of a path, weaving through late-summer perennials or adding a romantic twist to a hot-coloured scheme.

Plant Crocosmia 'Pink Wonder' in generous drifts in a sunny, well-drained spot and it will reward you with weeks of colour from mid to late summer. The flowers are irresistible to bees and other pollinators, and they last beautifully in a vase, so do feel free to snip a few stems. Thread Crocosmia 'Pink Wonder' through ornamental grasses, dahlias or salvias for a painterly, late-season display. For smaller gardens, Crocosmia 'Pink Wonder' is equally happy in a large pot, provided it’s not waterlogged in winter. Left to settle, Crocosmia 'Pink Wonder' will form tidy clumps that return reliably year after year with very little fuss.

Crocosmia 'Pink Wonder' are hardy perennials and flower every year once established. After planting, they will flower from their second year onwards. In the first year they may produce foliage only.
